Tara is a creative and hard working woman who takes initiative, has a spirit of serving, and loves to laugh. At the core of her being, Tara believes that, “if something is not working, then put in the effort required to make it better.” She has built her career around developing and implementing improved processes whether it is at home, in school, or at work.

Tara worked as a medical transcriptionist for a large neurology and orthopedic healthcare company in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. After three years she proposed a work-at-home transcription program to the CEO. The program was implemented by IT in 2004, after which she performed transcription services from home for several years. In 2007, craving career growth and a chance to re-enter the out-of-home work field, Tara accepted a position as an Engineering Assistant. Her decision to join the large civil and environmental engineering firm in Cincinnati would shape her long-term future.

While working as an administrative assistant at Terracon, Tara developed many professional skills and cultivated her engineering support knowledge. She was such an efficient and strong performer that as the company laid off several other administrative staff members, just Tara remained to support the engineering, drilling, and environmental departments. Tara’s hard work and positive attitude were acknowledged when she received a merit award. In 2010, she was selected as the “Outstanding Administrative Contributor” for her operating group.

While working and parenting full time, Tara graduated Suma Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in geography. She received the “Outstanding Senior in Geography” Award from her professors in the Department of History and Geography. While at NKU, Tara noticed the need for a campus organization that supported student parents. Consequently, she created the campus organization “Parents Attending College” in 2012. PAC at NKU remains a resource group for student parents at NKU with more than 50 members to date.

Tara is a Kentucky girl at heart, and resides in Connersville, Kentucky with her husband, Michael, and two daughters, Hannah and Naomi. She loves living and raising children in the heart of the Bluegrass countryside. However, she has grown to love the beauty of Cincinnati’s bustling metropolis and all of its amenities, considering it her second home. That is why she was excited to accept a position as an Administrative Coordinator for CSA in 2016. She was able to bring years of experience in pioneering improved administrative methods that will assist the departments at CSA with developing, implementing, and streamlining workflow processes.
